The winner of the first ever
Shrewsbury Children's Bookfest Book Award is ...

The Boy in the Dress by David Walliams!

Nearly 500 children in 20 schools across Shropshire have voted for their favourite book published in the last year. They had a shortlist of six fantastic books to choose from.

The final result was very close!

We had a wonderful Book Awards Ceremony in Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn on Friday 30th April. We'll be posting photos from the Ceremony here very soon.
