Each November since 2014 Shrewsbury Bookfest has presented events, especially for children, young people and their families, commemorating the centenary of the First World War. To bring this project to a close this year, Bookfest is promoting a series of talks, a Study Day and a very special concert on the 4th November – a hundred years to the day that the poet Wilfred Owen was killed. Over 400 children and adults drawn from schools and choirs all over Shropshire will be taking part.
