Young Children

Please adhere to the age range specified for the events. Young children must be accompanied at all times, and prices are kept low to allow for this. Shrewsbury Children’s Bookfest maintains a Child Protection Policy, but we cannot act in loco parentis or take responsibility for unsupervised children.

How do I know if the event is suitable for my child?

We've included a recommended age range for each event to help you choose. These ages are carefully chosen in consultation with the publisher and author, taking into account the length, content and format of each event.

Photography

Any person attending a Bookfest event consents to being photographed by local press or Bookfest for publicity purposes, including our website. Please see a Bookfest Organiser before the start of the event with any questions about this.

Festival Bookshops

These will be available at all events throughout the Festival stocking titles by participating authors.
