The ‘May Festival’ is the annual children’s literary festival described as “a beacon of excellence amongst literary festivals” by our patron, Michael Morpurgo. This festival of literary themed events and author/illustrator workshops at venues across Shrewsbury has, since its inception in 1999, become a hugely respected and popular event in the county.
This public children’s literature festival runs every year over the May Bank Holiday weekend. The programme will be released to the public early in March 2018. Sign up to our database to be among the first to get your hand on tickets.
Series of events every November to commemorate the centenary of the First World War.
