Shrewsbury Bookfest Website – Privacy Policy
Introduction
Everyone involved with Shrewsbury Bookfest takes your online
privacy very seriously. We DO NOT collect any personal
information from you unless you specifically provide it.
Cookies
No not 'Chocolate Chip' – Cookies as used on the web are small
text files placed on your computer when you visit a web site.
These allow the people from the site to collect information
about the visitors to their site. Shrewsbury Bookfest DOES
NOT use cookies on its website. We do collect some anonymous
information in the form of statistics – very boring Maths type
stuff – this allows us simply to know how many people visit the
site and which pages are the most popular.
Personal Information
The only personal information that we collect is what you send
us either in the form of an email, filling in the contact form
or entering a competition. If you are under 13 we will ask an
adult to provide their information as well. Although if you win
the competition you get the prize and not the adult – fair
enough!
All the information that you provide is only used for the
purpose for which it is provided – to answer a question you may
have, sending you any prizes you may win in our competitions or
if you really want sending you really important stuff about our
future brill events or competitions.
We will only share your personal information with someone else
if the law says we have to.
If you send us your personal information we will assume that you
have read this policy, understood it and accept it. Of course if
you are under 13 get an adult to do the boring stuff.
If you no longer want us to use your personal information in any
way just let us know.
Links to Other Sites
Our site contains links to other sites that are not under our
control. These sites will have their own privacy policy please
be aware of this. SURF SAFELY!
Parents/Guardians/Adults
We encourage you to use the site along with your children to be
aware of how they use the internet. This will allow them and you
to get the best out of what is a very interesting and
informative experience.
