STEVE HARTLEY
Biography
Steve Hartley is a sensible man who has a sensible job, a sensible family, a sensible house and a sensible car but, underneath it all, he longed to be silly, and so his alter ego, Danny Baker, was born. Join him for a hilarious show that’s got it all: readings from his books, singing, awesome acting, impressions of sea creatures, a huge pair of knickers and a giant bogey. Danny Baker wants to be best at something – anything – and he doesn’t care how slimy, stinky or itchy he gets on his way to becoming a Record Breaker! Steve Hartley was long listed for the Waterstone’s Prize 2010. His aim is to energise children by showing them how much fun
they can have reading and writing.
